About TNS Frankfurt The Tuesday Night Skating Frankfurt (TNS) is a free weekly groupskate with up to 5000 participants in the summer. It starts at 20.30h at the "Deutschherrenufer" in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. See a detailed map here. The TNS lasts for 30 - 35 kilometers, after about 2,5 hours we will return to the starting point. In the middle of the TNS is a 15 minutes brake where you can refresh yourself with some "Apfelsaftschorle" (non-alcoholic drink). The group is accompanied by police, ambulances and a team of volunteers (TNS-Team) on skates. Before and after the TNS the skater meet at the bar "Zwischendurch", Dreieichstraße 34, just 300 meters from the start. Join us there and have some famous "Apfelwein". General Rules Please follow the instructions of the TNS-Team members at all times. You will recognize them by their orange vests. It is required to be able to brake and turn very good. The TNS is not recommended for beginners! You should also be able to keep up with the pace of the group, skate on downhill passages and deal with different road surfaces. Never pass the front row or drop behind the back. If you drop behind you are no longer part of the group and you must stay on the sidewalk. Always skate on the right side. Please wear protection (hand, elbow, knee and a helmet) and some reflective clothing. |
